Typical testing of the 400 kV Single-Circuit Tower (KMAG); for Jiroft-Bam line successfully completed on 25th April, 2018; in the presence of representatives from Kerman Regional Electricity Company, the project employer; and those from Electricity Industry Development Co., the project consultant at test station site of Niroo Research Center in Markazi province.
Tower Name: 400 KW single-circuit (KMAG), end tower with heavy angle of 60 degrees
Number of Tests Performed: 8 loadingcases for 5 Minutes
Destruction Percentage: 120% of the final forces from the area of K-Framemain base
Significant Features:
Significant reduction in the weight of the KMAG tower; compared to the similar Italian one (MA designed by SAE) on 400kv two-bundle lines with Kerlo conductor wire
The ability to install on the existing foundation of MA type towers, without any limitation or changes
